O P E N

The word "Open" reminds me of spacious atmosphere and open spaces. A space could made spacious not only through spatial arrangement but also through the materiality. In this project, I want to focus on the use of glass to create a see-through effect that could actually make a space looks wider from both the interior and exterior. The sense of not being enclosed could also be experienced through the use of glass wall. This project was also inspired by the terrace fields back in my home country with spacious planes and spaces opened to the sky. I am always eager to explore natural and traditional elements, especially those that are related to my home country and and where I am from. This is also my “own street” in designing that I always try my best to incorporate “my local” elements with the “global”.
