SPIKINESS
The drawings belong to the "Spikiness" project in which cross-hatching technique was studied as a means of interpretation of human's emotions. The angularity created by the sharp marks o the cross hatches helps to visualise the feeling of uncomfortableness and distress. The use of aluminium foil imagery wrapped around the human forms added more roughness into the reading of the drawings, as well as depicting the idea of being imprisoned and contained, which emphasises the theme of emotional distress.
